Armando Milano is an American photographer and filmmaker of Italian descent, based in Paris. Born in Columbus, Ohio, he studied filmmaking at the New York Film Academy in New York and Los Angeles, where he completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts. He then spent seven years working in lighting departments across narrative film, advertising, live broadcast and music video production before relocating to Paris following the pandemic.

His photographic practice is defined by restraint, consistency and close observation. Milano works with minimal post-production and places importance on maintaining a coherent visual language through his choice of cameras and lenses. His background in film lighting informs a careful attention to natural light, colour and composition, while his images tend toward a calm, measured way of looking rather than dramatic intervention. He now works primarily in photography, focusing on people, places and everyday situations.
